Christopher Jacob Patota “Jake”, of Carver died on May 11, 2017, suddenly. He was born on a beautiful morning September 20, 1996. He graduated from Carver High School in 2015 where he was a captain of the wrestling team his junior and senior years and a captain of the football team his senior year. As part of the wrestling team he qualified as an All-State wrestler his sophomore and senior years. He was also a South Shore League All-Star wrestler his Junior and Senior years. He was a 4 yr. member of the track team. He was a student at Bristol Community Collegeand was recently accepted at the University of Maine to study Forestry. Jake was a volunteer coach for the Carver High School Wrestling team the last two years. He was passionate about fitness, landscaping and cooking. He was a parishioner at Our Lady of Lourdes church in Carver. Jake was a very faithful young man and soulfully carried the crosses of anyone who reached out for his help. He had wisdom beyond his years. He lived in the present, being passionate about the betterment of others. Jake is survived by his parents CJ and Kim of Carver, and his brother, and best friend Cameron. He also leaves his maternal grandparents Ray and Karen Gomez; and his paternal grandparents the late David and Ramona Patota and his great-grandmother Felicita Gomez of New Bedford. He is also survivedby his godmother Denise Gosselin of Londonderry NH, and his godfather David Patota of Raynham, and many aunts, uncles and cousins. Arrangements are being handled by Shepherd’sFuneral Home in Kingston MA. Calling Hours will be held Friday, May 19, at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 216 Main St, Kingston from 4:00 to 8:00PM. A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday May 20 at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 130 Main St. in Carver at 10:00AM.
