Obituary of Jeannie L. Quinn

Please share a memory of Jeannie to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Jeannie Louise (Brown) Quinn, of Taunton, passed away peacefully April 1, 2017, with her sister Reneai by her side. Jeannie Louis Quinn born the third child of nine to the late Marslene and Francis Brown. Jeannie was born October 11 1950 in Hardwick, VT. Jeannie is survived by her life partner, John Munise. Beloved mother of Scott Hammond and his wife Jennifer Smith of Pembroke, Victoria Hammond of Freetown, Laura Rose of Middleboro, and Jeannie Twomey of Taunton. Sister to Linwood Brown and Joanne of Kingston, Reneai Ainslie and Frankie of Bridgewater, Bonnie Ainslie and Eddie of Belchertown, Connie Horton and Robert of Whitman, Celia Kelley and Michael of South Easton, Shirley Balboni of Fall River, and Christopher Brown of Middleboro. She was the sister of the late Linvel “Brian” Brown. Cherished grandmother of the late Dalton Goulart. Jeannie is also survived by many nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She was a Caregiver more than anything she did in her life. As an early teen she chose to put her on life and education aside to help care for many of her younger siblings. By age 25 she had 4 children of her own but continued her dedication to helping her mother, brothers, and sisters. Through all of this, Jeannie still found a way to work to help support her family often going without for the comfort of others. Jeannie loved to search for treasures at yard sales, and antique shops. Jeannie worked at Components, Chadwick’s, Cumberland Farms, and would clean, and paint apartments nights and weekends. When Jeannie became a grandmother she was there unconditionally to help care for them as recently as bringing up, and caring for her beloved grandson Charlie to the day she died. Just when we thought she had given everything of her self, we found she had one last gift as an organ donor her cornea's will be used to help another. Jeannie was the most unselfish giving and caring person our family and friends may ever know. She loved spending time with her family. She will be greatly missed. Memorial visiting hours will be held on Saturday, April 8th from 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 7 Mattakeesett St (Rt. 14) Pembroke. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to: The Jeannie Quinn Benefit Account @ Rockland Trust, set up to benefit John Munise and Charlie Toomey
