Obituary of Hugh G. Veno

Hugh. G. Veno, 82, passed peacefully at home surrounded by family. He was the son of David and Jesse Veno and was born and raised in Quincy. He graduated from Quincy High School. He is a proud veteran who served in the Korean War. He worked for many years for General Dynamics ship yard in Quincy before moving his family to Carver. Hugh spent the last 18 years wintering in Bonita Springs, Fl where he enjoyed golf and playing softball. He is survived by his wife of 57 yrs. Nancy Veno. He was a great dad to Richard Veno and his wife Theresa of Wrentham, Robert Veno and Jacie Hall of Plymouth, and Theresa Baldo and her husband Robert of New Bedford. He was a loving grandfather to 11 grandchildren and a great grandfather to one. He was the brother of Dorothy Caruso and to the late David Veno, Florence Pitts, Helen O’Leary, Elizabeth Cormier, Theresa Worrell, Jeanne Newell, and Cecilia Daly. Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, March 15th from 4-8:00 PM, at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 116 Main St (Rt.58) Carver. A funeral mass will be held on Thursday, March 16th at 10:00 AM at St. Peters Church, 86 Court St, Plymouth. Graveside services will follow at Center cemetery in Carver.
