Obituary of Ann Kopke

Ann (Wells) Kopke, 84, of Duxbury died Friday March 3rd 2017 at Beth Israel Deaconess Plymouth. She was the wife of the late Walter F Kopke Jr. and the daughter of the late Robert and Jean P (Fox) Wells. Ann was raised in Whitman and worked for the telephone company for many years before marrying Walter and moving to Duxbury in 1963. Ann was very active at St. John's Evangelist Church. and also a volunteer Chaplain at the Jordan Hospital in Plymouth. She was president of the Duxbury chapter of AFS in the 70s and hosted many exchange students. She and Walter also ran a Bed and Breakfast for many years and enjoyed meeting people from around the world. Ann is survived by her sister Barbara J (Wells) Mann and her husband Loren. Also by Cris and Virginia Kopke of Avon, Brian and Margie Kopke of Ottawa Canada, Kent and Colette Kopke of Denver, Colorado, Joel Kopke of Austin Texas and Sara and John Harvey of Duxbury, 14 Grandchildren and 8 Great Grandchildren and 3 nieces and nephews. Service will be held Saturday March 11, at 11 a.m. St Johns Episcopal Church in Duxbury.
