Obituary of Thomas L. Fitzgerald

Thomas L. Fitzgerald, 61, of Marshfield, passed away on February 24, 2017 after a lengthy illness. Mr. Fitzgerald leaves his wife Anne Marie Mooney. Loving Father of Daniel Fitzgerald of Marshfield, Kristie Fitzgerald of Weymouth and Michael Fitzgerald of Weymouth. Son of the late Thomas Fitzgerald and Margaret (Sampson) Fitzgerald. Brother of Diane Bastianelli and husband Ben of Pembroke, Carol Kelley of Kingston and her late husband Edward, and Susan Mooney and her husband Tim of Marshfield. Thomas is also survived by a large loving family of aunts and cousins and many nieces and nephews that he loved and adored. He was a former bus mechanic for the MBTA. Tom loved life, his family, friends and laughter. He will be missed around the beaches of Marshfield that he loved so much. Tom brought so many smiles to so many faces over his years with us. We will remember him always in the summer wind. Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, March 9th from 4-8:00 PM at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 7 Mattakeesett St (Rt. 14) Pembroke. A funeral mass will be held at St. Ann by the Sea, 591 Ocean St, Marshfield on Friday, March 10th at 10:00 AM. Graveside services will follow at the Center cemetery in Pembroke.
