Obituary of Patricia A. Chandler

Patricia A. (Guidaboni) Chandler, passed away peacefully at Wingate at Silver Lake on Wednesday February 15. Born January 31, 1935, daughter of the late Mabel Guidaboni Arruda and Ernest Guidaboni. She was predeceased by her husband Robert V. Chandler, step daughter Dianne Chandler, and daughters Robyn and Lynne Chandler. Pat had thoughts of becoming a nun and entered a Sacred Heart convent In Pennsylvania for a year, Returning to graduate from Kingston High School in 1953, and went to work for New England Telephone. After raising her family, she became the night manager at Howard Johnson Restaurant for many years. After leaving Hojo's, she became a dispatcher at the Maple Street Fire Station Until the dispatching was relocated to the Kingston Police station, retiring from this position. Missing social activity, she became knows as "MA" in the Royal Garden keno room. Social butterfly that she was, her favorite question to all she met was "so, what's new in Kingston?" She leaves her daughter Holly A. Chandler and Bob Little of Buzzards Bay, her son Robert V. Chandler Jr. and fiancé Samantha of Carver, and son John A. Chandler of Hyannis. Also the joys of her life, grandchildren Brittany Chandler of Florida, Rebekah Chandler of Plymouth, Gianna Chandler and Colby Winbush of Carver. She also leaves behind siblings Barbara Arponen and husband Richard of Carver, Michael Guidaboni of Duxbury and sister in law Mary Sampson, Kingston, Peter Guidaboni and wife Terri of Quincy, William Arruda and wife Susan of Kingston, Richard Arruda and wife Lynn of Kingston, and Stephanie Joubert and husband Jim of Kingston. Many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews who will miss Auntie Pat also. Her family would like to express their gratitude to the staff at Wingate at Silver Lake for their love and support of our "social butterfly" and to Cranberry Hospice. Visiting Hours will be held at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 216 Main St, Kingston on Sunday, February 19, from 3:00 to 7:00PM. A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, February 20, at St. Joseph Church in Kingston at 10:00AM.
