Obituary of Ellen M. Hart

Ellen M. McNeill Hart, 56, of Plymouth, passed away on February 7, 2017 after a brief illness. Ellen was born and raised in Dorchester, daughter of the late Francis V McNeill and the late Mary J (Dowd) McNeill. Beloved wife of Gregory A. Hart of Plymouth. Loving mother of Mollie Jacobs and her husband Evan of Plymouth, Rose Curran and her boyfriend Kevin Greeley of Dorchester, Chris Frattaroli of MA. Loving Nanny of her cherished grandchildren Austin and Adam Jacobs of Plymouth. Beloved sister of Gail Gronberg and her husband Butch of Plymouth, the late Francis McNeill Jr, Robert McNeill and his wife Liseth of Plymouth, Joan Rosa and her husband Manuel of Plymouth, Mark McNeill and his fiancé Julianne Coleman of Rockland, Peg Hanson and her husband Glenn of Hanover. Beloved cousin of Kathy Crobar and her husband Robert of Plymouth. Ellen was also survived by many other beloved nieces,nephews, and cousins.

Ellen attended St Gregory's High School in Dorchester. She received her bachelors degree from Emmanuel College in Boston and went on to receive her Masters degree from Eastern Nazarene College in Quincy. Ellen previously worked as the youth minister of Holy Family Parish in Rockland and went on to become a psychotherapist and the former Director of South Bay Mental Health in S. Yarmouth. Ellen was an active member of New Hope Chapel in Plymouth. She loved spending her time at Sunday services and Bible studies. She enjoyed time spent at her beloved family cottage on Widgeon Pond. She cherished nothing more than time spent with her family.

Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, February 12th from 3-7:00 pm at Shepherd Funeral Home at 216 Main St (Rt. 106) Kingston. A funeral service will be held on Monday, February 13th at 10:00 am at New Hope Chapel, 89 Court St, Plymouth. A graveside service will follow at Vine Hills cemetery, 102 Samoset St, Plymouth. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to New Hope Chapel in Plymouth MA.
