Obituary of William Nickerson

William Nickerson, 81, resident of Pocasset, passed away December 22, 2016. Originally from Newton, Bill also lived in Hyannis, Duxbury, and Scituate and was an enthusiastic sailor and fisherman. He attended Deerfield Academy and Trinity College, and he served in the National Guard. Bill was much-loved in his many community groups, including hiking, singing and especially Alcoholics Anonymous, where he provided leadership and support to countless friends. He is survived by his sister, Nancy Nickerson Fry, his children Elizabeth Nickerson Seltzer and Joshua Nickerson, as well as five grandchildren. Friends and family are invited to gather to remember Bill on Wednesday, December 28, 3-5 p.m. at Eastward Ho!, 325 Fox Hill Road, Chatham, MA 02633.
