Obituary of Suzanne Bergami

Suzanne Marie Bergami, 76, of Plymouth Massachusetts, passed away on December 15, 2016 after a long battle with breast cancer. Suzanne Reynolds was born in New Haven, CT on January 6, 1940. She graduated from West Haven high school and attended Southern Connecticut State College. Suzanne was married to Frank Bergami on November 29, 1968 and they were happily married for 48 years. She resided in Trumbull, CT for 39 years before moving to Massachusetts to be closer to her daughters and grandchildren. Suzanne’s true love was her family. She cherished being a wife, mother, aunt, grandmother, sister and friend. Happiest when surrounded by friends and family, Suzanne enjoyed hosting and cooking for family holidays and parties. Suzanne had a loving way and enjoyed meeting new people and had a special way of making them comfortable. Throughout her life Suzanne was very active in the church community and frequent volunteer at many school activities. She also enjoyed cooking, gardening and watching her grandchildren play sports. Suzanne is survived by her husband Frank, her daughter Joyce and Paul McCabe of Marshfield, MA and Diane and Michael Blake of Pembroke, MA. She has five grandchildren, Connor, Sydney, Aidan, Colin and Ryan whom she cherished. She is the sister of Edward Reynolds of Rocky Hill, CT and the late Nancy MacQuarrie of Fairfield, CT. She also was a loving aunt to her many nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in Suzanne's name to the Susan G. Koman foundation at www.susangkomen.com for breast cancer research. Suzanne battled breast cancer for 3 years and fought until the very end. The funeral service will be held Monday at 10:30am at St Mary’s Church in Plymouth, MA. Visitation will be held Sunday 4:30-7:00PM at Shepherd Funeral Home located at 7 Mattakeesett Street, Pembroke, MA 02359.
