Obituary of Robert K. Harhen
Please share a memory of Robert to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Robert Kenworthy Harhen of Pelham, NH, formerly of Duxbury, and Chatham, NJ, passed away on December 10, 2016, at the age of 34. Rob was the much loved son of Edward Paul and Lynn Kenworthy Harhen of Duxbury. Rob also leaves behind his brothers Matthew (Kristy) and Stephen (Nadia), his nephew Pierce Caster Harhen, his grandmothers Palma Miller and Helen Kenworthy, as well as a large loving extended family of uncles, aunts, and cousins.
Rob graduated from Duxbury High School in 2001, and was completing his Electrical Engineering degree from UMass. He was employed by the Town of Andover and functioned as Enterprise Platform Architect. He managed a network system of 20,000 devices and 7,000 users. He was fearless in his approach to problem solving and could be counted on for creative and “best in class” solutions.
He will be remembered for his big heart, wit, independence, and intelligence. An avid outdoorsman, Rob loved to scuba dive, ride his motorcycle, hike, ski, skate, shoot, and sail. He would tend to his bees and had a green thumb. He could be a tease and taught Eclipse bad tricks. Rob was not shy about trying and mastering new things. He would always help anyone who needed help and go well above and beyond for those that he cared for most. He is sorely missed by all that knew him.
Visiting hours will be held Sunday, December 18, 2016, from 4-7:00 p.m. at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 216 Main St (Rt. 106), Kingston. There will be a 10:00 a.m. service to celebrate Rob’s life on Monday, December 19th, at Pilgrim Church, 404 Washington St, Duxbury, MA, followed by burial in Mayflower Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating a toy to a child in need.
