Obituary of Sharon A. Lane

Sharon A. Lane, 57, of Kingston, formerly of Duxbury, MA, died peacefully, surrounded by family on November 3, 2016.
Sharon was a graduate of Duxbury High School. She was a homemaker and an activist, who was involved in the rights of people living with AIDS, since the late 1980's. A loving mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend, she gave tirelessly of herself to all who knew her. An incredibly strong person, she was often involved in helping those struggling with addiction.
Sharon was a beautiful woman, with a huge heart. She loved the ocean and spent her lifetime enjoying the beach. She loved to travel, with Disney World being one of her favorite destinations. She enjoyed skiing, yoga, and shopping, and was always on the go.
Sharon is survived by her husband, Bradley J. Lane, of Kingston, her daughter, Heather, and her husband, Eli Allen, of Duxbury, and their two sons, Lukas and Knox, who she loved with all her heart .She was the daughter of Ann Madden, and the late, Thomas Madden. Sister to Thomas Madden, and his wife, Lena, of Wolfeboro, NH, sister, Janice Wexler, and her husband, Jonathan, of Beverly, MA, sister, Paula Bent, and her husband, Stephen, of Kingston, MA, and sister, Diane King, and her husband, Michael, of Douglas, MA. As well as, her in-laws, Jeanne Lane, and the late Charles Lane of Duxbury, MA. She also leaves behind her loving extended family of in-laws, nieces and nephews, their children, and countless friends.
Visiting hours and a funeral service will be held at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 216 Main St. (rt.106) Kingston, on Thursday, November 10th, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. Graveside services will follow at the Duxbury Mayflower Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Beth Israel/Deaconess Medical Center, Boston, MA.
