Jacqueline E. (Morris) Malloy, 88, of Hingham formerly of Duxbury, passed away on October 15, 2016 at the Philip Hulitar Hospice Center in Providence, RI after a brief illness. She was the loving wife of the late Edward P. Malloy. Born in Quincy, MA. She was the daughter of the late John J. Morris and Mary (Burns) Morris. She was the mother of the late Arlene M. Slattery (George), grandmother of Sarah Slattery Tepper (Matt) of Duxbury and Michael G. Slattery of Astoria New York. She was the great-grandmother of Tessa Arlene Tepper of Duxbury. She is also survived by her sister Jeanne M. Peloquin of Florida. Jackie graduated from N. Quincy High School, Fisher College, and was employed by the law office Goulston and Storrs in Boston for many years until her retirement, she also volunteered at Plimoth Plantation, the Duxbury Senior Center and The Plymouth Philomonic. Her love of the sea is reflected in her choice of communities to call home, Squantum where she raised her family, and Duxbury where she moved to be close to family. She had an eye for fashion, enjoyed traveling, playing golf, gardening and the time she spent with family and friends. Visiting Hours will be held at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 216 Main St. (Rt.106) Kingston on Thursday, October 20, from 9:30 to 10:30AM. A Funeral Mass will follow at Holy Family Church in Duxbury. Internment will follow at Mt. Wollaston Cemetery in Quincy. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jackie's name to the Joslin Diabetes Center.
