Doris Smith Woods, 91, of Kingston formerly of Weymouth died peacefully on Tuesday surrounded by her family. She is survived by her three daughters; Beth Jeanjaquet and her husband Rob of Weymouth, Leslie Hamilton and her husband Jack of Duxbury, Cheri Malone and her husband Mike of Kingston and Mike’s daughter Kelly, her sister, Betty Sweeney of Hingham and five grandsons; J.W., Ryan, Woody, Tim and Brendan. Her grandsons fondly called her “Dee” and they were the joy of her life. She is preceded in death by her husband, Bill Woods. She was born in New York and spent her early years in Youngstown, Ohio. She graduated from Boston School of Dental Medicine and was a dental assistant for many years. Doris and her husband Bill were owners of Woods’ South Shore Auto School. Her daughters wish to thank the staff for the loving care she received from her Bay Path family.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Mary’s, North Plymouth. Burial will be in Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne.
Visiting will be from 4 to 7 Sunday at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 216 Main Street, Kingston. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Massachusetts Association for the Blind, 200 Ivy Street, Brookline, Ma 02446, Development Office.
