Obituary of Michael R. Nicum

Michael Richard Nicum, 58, passed away Sept. 3 at his home in Weymouth after a long 10 year
courageous battle with colon cancer with his family by his side. Michael was born in Weymouth
on August 8, 1958, the son of the late John and Anna Nicum and was raised and educated
there. Michael loved to go fishing, he loved his music and football, his favorites teams the
Minnesota Vikings and the New England Patriots. Mike is survived by brother of Scott Nicum and his wife Cheryl of
Derry, New Hampshire, brother Joe Nicum of Weymouth, sisters Chris Allsopp of Brockton and Karen Nicum of
Weymouth and brother to the late John R. Nicum. Loving uncle to Arthur Allsopp and his wife Jody of
Weymouth, Mark Allsopp of Brockton, Stephanie Nicum and Anthony Nicum of Derry, New
Hampshire. Services will be private. Donations maybe made to Boston Health Care for the
Homeless Program, 780 Albany Street, Boston, MA 02118 or go to bhchp.org.
