Jeanne Roberta (Dalton) Perry of Kingston passed unexpectedly but in serenity on August 29th at Tufts Medical Center, Boston. After a childhood spent in West Bridgewater she later took up residence in Bridgewater for 30 years with her husband Ronald and her two sons Matthew of East Bridgewater and Stephen of West Bridgewater. A dedicated loose tea drinker, she consumed many a mug while reading English mystery novels--her loving yellow lab Molly at her side. Born in Brockton in 1945 to the late George and Loretta (Beaudrault) Dalton. She was a 1963 graduate of West Bridgewater high school and 1966 graduate of Children's Hospital School of Nursing. She worked as a pediatric nurse at Brockton Hospital and Baltimore City Hospital. She is survived by her daughter-in-law Heather Brodie Perry and her three grandsons Ryan A. Perry , Kyle B. Perry and Will D. Perry. To them she was "Bubbe". Spending time with them, most recently on a day trip to New Hampshire, was a constant source of joy for her and Bubbe's pantry was always well stocked with snacks, ready for their visits. She is also survived by her cousins: Marsha (Dalton) Pedersen of Bettendorf, Iowa and Spokane, Washington, Prescilla (Dalton) Strom of Destin, Florida and her sister-in-law Rosemary Major of West Bridgewater, Massachusetts. She was most recently a member of the Friends of the Kingston Public Library and was active in the Arbor Hills community i.e. Book Club, Game "Wine" Night, Luncheons, Walking, etc. Visiting hours will be from 4-8 p.m. on Thursday, September 1st at J.J. Shepherd and Sons Funeral Home at 216 Main St., Kingston MA. A funeral mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, September 2nd at St. Mary Parish, 313 Court St., N. Plymouth MA. The family wishes to express their deepest gratitude to the medical staff at Tufts Medical Center where she had been a patient since 1970. especially Dr. Andrew S. Levey, Division of Nephrology. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made for the Renovation Fund of St. Mary Parish.
