Margaret M. (MacDonald) Gill, 91, died peacefully in Plymouth on August 7th surrounded by her family. She was the loving wife of the late Bernard P. Gill who preceded her in death. Born on September 10, 1924 in Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia, she was the daughter of Ellen (McNeil) MacDonald and the late Alexander MacDonald. She is survived by her children Barbara & the late Thomas Gibbons, Patricia & Thomas Bracken, Margaret & Richard Gibbons, Catherine & Arthur Dellascio, Mary & John Gianino, Eileen & David Hansford, Ann & Paul Strobis, Bernard Gill, Jr. & Kirsten Tersteegen, Alice & Joe Murray, Joanne & Robert Costa, John & Janet Gill, Michael & Patricia Gill, Robert & Lisa Gill. Margaret is also survived by 37 grandchildren and 38 great-grandchildren along with her brother William MacDonald of South Boston. Margaret, a long time communicant of Our Lady of Lourdes Church, devoted her life to her family as a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Visiting hours will be on Friday August 12th from 8:30am-10:30am at Shepherd Funeral Home, 116 Main St. (rt.58) in Carver, followed by a mass at Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Carver. Christian burial to follow at Blue Hill Cemetery Braintree, MA. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
