George W. Maglathlin, 77, of Plymouth, passed away on July 24, 2016. Beloved husband of Carol (Schneider) Maglathlin. Loving Father of Lisa Boyer and her husband Derek of Kingston, Robert Desreuisseau of Plymouth, Debra and her husband Shayne McGlone of Kingston, and the late David Maglathlin. Brother to Lil and her husband Ed Loring of Kingston. Cherished grandfather to Jessica, David, Emily, Jeremy, and Sydney. Great grandfather to Hailey, and Sarah. Brother in law to David and Betty Schultz, William Schneider, Phillip and Carol Schneider, and Bill and Linda Strong, all of Plymouth, and the late Joseph Schneider. George is also survived by many nieces and nephews, as well as many close friends. George is a US Navy veteran, and served on the Ingraham, from 1958-1962. He was a self employed carpenter for over 40 years. George had a great love for the waterfront, yard sales, and belonged to The American Legion Post 40. In retirement he enjoyed making woodcrafts, and working on wood stoves. A graveside service will be held on Friday, July 29th, at the Evergreen cemetery in Kingston at 11:00 AM. Family and friends are welcome to gather at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 216 Main St (Rt. 106) Kingston for a procession to the cemetery at 10:45. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Autism Speaks, 1060 State Road, 2nd Floor, Princeton, NJ 08540. A reception will follow at the Hilltop Athletic Club immediately following the services.
