Obituary of Theresa B. Moore
Please share a memory of Theresa to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Theresa B. (Benoit) Moore, age 90, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 17, 2016. Born in 1925 to the late Timothy & Louise Benoit, Theresa grew up in Somerville, Ma. She spent summers with her family in Petit Étang in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia.
In July 1947 she married Paul J. Moore, with whom she shared 52 years of marriage before his death in 2000. Together they raised a family in Weymouth, MA before retiring to Bristol, NH in 1976. Their house near Newfound Lake was a place of great joy for their grandchildren. They wintered in Cape Canaveral, Florida. In 1998 they moved to Kingston to be closer to family which allowed her to play a large part in many of her great-grand children’s lives.
She was a devout Catholic and volunteered within her church and community every place she lived. She enjoyed playing bingo and card games. She was an avid bird watcher and loved cooking and baking for her family, friends, and church. Theresa’s kindness stayed with her to the end, making her much loved wherever she went.
Theresa is survived by her son, Thomas Moore and his wife Sheila of Middleboro, daughter Louise Cook and her husband Kenneth of Kingston, sisters Mary Maynard of Nashua NH, Lucy Nocito of Saugus and Lorraine Farmer of Winthrop, sister in law Margaret Benoit of Malden, grandchildren Karen Gibson of Middleboro, James Cook and his wife Amanda of Gloucester, Kerry Bean and her husband Jeffrey of Otis, Thomas Cook and his wife Candice of Somerville, Michelle Moore of Pittsfield, Daniel Cook and his wife Jeanette of Dorchester, and Paul Joseph Cook of Kingston, as well as 11 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday, June 27 at 10:00 am, St. Joseph’s Church 272 Main St. in Kingston. Internment will be held at MA National Cemetery in Bourne at 1:45PM.
