Obituary of Joseph L. Sarno

Joseph Louis Sarno, 63, of Carver, passed away on June 19, 2016. Born in Melrose on Sept. 14, 1952, he is the son of Anthony and Catherine Austin Sarno. He grew up in N. Reading and graduated from N. Reading High School, class of 1970. Joseph worked most of his life as a parts sales person for large trucks and equipment. He was immensely knowledgeable in his field and had many loyal customers. He was employed by Corsini Truck Center in Middleboro, North Atlantic Kenworth in Stoughton, and most recently by C+R Truck Center in Middleboro. Joseph loved spending time by the ocean, especially at a family “cabin” on Vinalhaven, an island in Penobscot Bay, Maine. He is survived by his wife, Beth (Nantais) Sarno. His wonderful twin daughters, Courtney Sarno and Cadence (Sarno) Hardy, his son in law Keith Hardy, and the apple of his eye, his granddaughter, Hailey Beth Turner. He is also survived by several brother in laws and many loved nieces and nephews. Memorial visiting hours will be held on Friday, June 24th from 3-5:00 PM and 7-9:00 PM at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 116 Main St (Rt. 58) Carver.
