Obituary of Thomas B. Brown

Thomas Benjamin Brown, 84, of Kingston, passed away peacefully at home on March 15, 2016 surrounded by loved ones. Born in Boston, MA to William Joseph Brown and Louise Catherine Chase on April 21, 1931, Thomas worked as a plumber for a number of years. He enjoyed home improvement projects, bird-watching, and Sunday dinners with his family. Affectionately known as “Grumpy,” Thomas is survived by his wife, Sharon Marie Brown; daughter, Laura Lee Ward of Kannapolis, NC; son Lawrence Riley Brown and his wife, Laurie, of Miami, FL; John Arthur Brown and his wife, Deb, of Lincoln, NH; Brian Scott Brown and his wife, Jennifer of Kingston; Wayne David and his wife, Sarah of Kingston; Dawn Marie Brown of Kingston; William Joseph Brown of Kingston; James Edward Brown of Kingston; and Jeffrey Thomas Brown of Washington, DC. He will be missed by 29 grandchildren and great grandchildren. Thomas is also survived by a brother, William Brown of Biddeford, ME, and sister, Carol Canario of Laconia, NH. Thomas is preceded in death by his son, Thomas B. Brown of Winfield Park, NJ (age 42) and sister, Helena Parsons of Taunton, MA (age 88). Visiting hours will be held on Saturday, March 19th from 2-5:00 PM at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 216 Main St (Rt.106) Kingston, with a funeral service set to begin at 5:00 PM.
