I'm shocked and very sad to hear this tragic news. Donnie was "one of us" back in the early 60s when him and big brother "Bruddy" (RIP old pal); along with me, my brother Jim; Ted Topham (RIP Ted), his brother Billy; and last, but not least Dave Mellon, all ran together. Donnie was the youngest but held his own in the group. The last time I saw him he had ridden up to my house on Waldo St in Randolph - on a horse and sporting a big Sombrero. It was Halloween - so maybe the best costume ever. So that's how I get to remember him I guess. Not a bad memory. My sincere condolences to all of the Penney family who I (and those listed above) once knew well. Happy memories those days. Vaya con dios viejo amigo!
