Frank L. Hoffman, age 88, of Carver and Toms River, NJ, died on Monday, February 15, 2016.
Born in Rochelle Park, NJ, he was the son of the late Frank & Elizabeth (Clovis) Hoffman.
Frank was a veteran of World War II serving in the US. Army in the 655th Engineer Battalion. He was a surveyor #283 engineer in Europe. Frank earned the World War II victory medal as well as the Army of Occupation medal.
For 30 years, he worked as a laborer for Hacansack Water Company.
Frank was the beloved husband for 65 years to the late Julia (Godlewski) Hoffman; devoted father of Janice E. Williams of Carver; loving grandfather of Jason Sweerus & his wife Erica of Assonet, David Sweerus & his wife Roxanne of Virginia and Jessica Dixon & her husband Deric of Plymouth; loving great-grandfather of Harper Sweerus, Kalinda Sweerus and Serenity Sweerus; dear brother of Elizabeth "Betty" Durland of Virginia and the late Charles Hoffman.
