Obituary of Rita Sergi Kenney

Rita Sergi Kenney went to the Lord Saturday morning, Feb. 6, at the age of 90. A native of Dedham, Rita most recently lived in W. Yarmouth, before her death came in, a nursing home in Braintree. Rita was married for 60 years to the late Leo F. Kenney, who died in 2008. An avid dancer who had her own dance studio in the Chicago area for many years, Rita was an active, vibrant person well into her 80s. Her last dancing years were spent as a country & western line dance teacher on Cape Cod. She is survived by her siblings, Nunzio “Ned” Sergi and his wife Lil of Norwood, Joe Sergi of Hopkinton, and Mary Keefe and her husband Art of Duxbury; along with many nephews and nieces. Her Funeral Mass will be held at Holy Family Church 601 Tremont St,Duxbury, Saturday morning, Feb. 13, at 11:00 a.m., with visiting hours in the church at 9:30 that morning.
