Obituary of Richard C. Garsh

Richard C. Garsh, 64, of Plymouth passed away from a sudden illness on January 29, 2016. Richie was born and raised in South Boston, but he always considered himself from Pembroke, where he raised his family for 25 years. Beloved husband of Rhonda M. (Gauthier) for 40 years. He was a devoted father to his children, the late Michelle Tavares, Adrianne Benson and her husband Brian of Plymouth, and Richard Garsh Jr. of Pembroke. He is also survived by his sister Paula Garsh of Braintree. He was a loving Papa to William and Mikayla Tavares, Rilee and Richard Garsh III, and Bradley Benson. Richie was a devoted New England Patriots fan. He enjoyed playing golf. He was an extremely talented self employed glazier. He loved traveling to Aruba and enjoying their beautiful beaches. Richie also loved to cook and most of all loved his family dearly. Visiting hours will be held at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 7 Mattakeesett St. Pembroke on Wednesday, February 3, from 4:00 to 7:00PM. Family and friends are welcome to meet at the Shepherd Funeral Home on Thursday, February 4, at 10:30AM to line up in precession for an 11:00AM graveside service at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Pembroke.
