Carol A. (Sullivan) Nourse, age 73, of Pembroke, died on Tuesday, January 26, 2016, at the South Shore Hospital in South Weymouth. She grew up in South Boston, the daughter of the late John & Shirley (Benham) Sullivan, and step daughter to the late Thomas Needham. Carol moved to Pembroke in 1966 when she married her loving husband, Paul. Her joy in life was her family and kids. She volunteered in PTO at North Pembroke Elementary School, was a member of the Pembroke Recreation Commission and the South Shore Arts Collaborative. Carol decided to bring the performing arts to Pembroke and founded the Concerts on the Green in 1982. She worked for several years as an assistant activities director at Fox Hill Village in Westwood. The residents adored her kind and loving nature. She was extremely proud of her five grandchildren and enjoyed going to their games, recitals and concerts. Carol was the beloved wife for 50 years to Paul F. Nourse; devoted mother of Gary Nourse & his wife Sherri of Derry, NH, Lynn Sanda & her husband Bob of Stoughton; loving grandmother of Alicia, Colin, Bryant, Tommy and Carly; dear sister of Mary Sheridan of Duxbury, Debbie Ridge of Quincy, Joyce LeLeivre of Weymouth, and Marie Carvalho of Pembroke. Carol is also the beloved niece of Marilyn Vadaro of Quincy. Visiting hours at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 7 Mattakeesett Street, (Route 14), Pembroke, on Thursday, January 28, 2016, from 4:00-8:00 PM. Funeral services at the Shepherd Funeral Home, Pembroke, on Friday, January 29, 2016, at 10:00 AM, followed by her funeral Mass at Saint Thecla's Church, 145 Washington Street, (Route 53), Pembroke, at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at the Center Cemetery, Oldham Street, Pembroke. In lieu of flowers, please consider a contribution in Carol's memory to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O.
