Obituary of Jack Hennessy

Jack Hennessy, born August 6th, 1937, passed at the age of 78 years old after a long battle with cancer. He leaves his wife of 47 years, Vivienne Hennessy, four daughters and their spouses; Beth Hennessy and wife Christy Murphy, Katy Gehly and husband Darryl, Kerry Hennessy and wife Mo Pantos, Kristen Dennis and Husband Nathan, as well as five grandchildren, Sam Gehly, Pippa and Lochlan Dennis, and Madi and Jaxon Hennessy-Pantos
Jack is also survived by his brothers Francis Hennessy and Richard Hennessy, his sister, Janet Matthews and many nieces and nephews.
During his colorful and full life, Jack was a Marine Corp Helicopter Pilot and traveled the country as Vice President of sales at Winthrop Atkins for over 30 years.
Jack enjoyed meeting people anywhere and everywhere and made friends all over the world but his dock by the Jones River was one of his favorite places to just sit back and enjoy life. Jack loved life and lived it to the fullest extent...he did it all and then did it again. Jack's utter enthusiasm and endurance was inspiring and will always be a gift to anyone who knew him. His wife, children, grandchildren and multitude of wonderful family and friends will miss him dearly.
Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, January 21st from 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 216 Main St (Rt. 106) Kingston. A memorial service will be held at First Parish Church, 223 Main St (Rt. 106) Kingston at 12:30.
