Virginia Margaret Oliver Moore, 91, of Pembroke, formerly of Hull, passed away peacefully at home on January 18, 2016. She is survived by her six children and their families; Linda Moore Goodwin of Hull, Thomas Moore of Ogden, UT, Robin Moore Hunt of Central Falls, RI, Rory Moore of Clovis, CA, Peter Moore of Pembroke, and Maggie Cirillo of Pembroke, where Virginia has resided for the last 5 1/2 years. Virginia also leaves 12 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her son Stephen, her daughter Ginger, and her grandson Brian. She also leaves her two sisters Louise Quinlan of Hingham, and Jean Raymond of Duluth, GA. They grew up in Wollaston and were active in the Yacht Club as young girls where her father, Jack Oliver, was a Commodore. Virginia resided in Hull for most of her life. She was active with the South Shore Art Center in Cohasset teaching adult art classes and became Director for several years. She worked for the Quincy Sun in the graphics art department and Grossmans Bargain Outlet doing graphic design. She also had her realtors license. She moved to Florida in 1986, where she worked at Sunshine Trading Company, and moved back to MA in 2010 to be with her family. Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, January 26th from 4-8:00 PM at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 7 Mattakeesett St (Rt. 14) Pembroke. A funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, January 27th at St. Thecla’s Church, 145 Washington St, Pembroke at 10:00 AM. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to: Wellspring Multi-service Center in Hull at www.wellspringhull.org.
