Alice J. Kay, 88, of Carver passed away on January 14, 2016. She was the loving wife of the late William C. Kay. She was the beloved mother of Donald W. Kay, Herbert G. Kay and his wife Caroline M. Kay and Constance A. (Kay) Schatzl, and her husband Michael J. Schatzl. She was the loving sisters to her brothers, the late Vernon, Rowan and Herbert Whitman. Alice was the loving grandmother to Lindsey and Erica Kay and Courtney, Angie and Missy Schatzl. She also had a great grandchild Cameron Votsis. Alice was an avid gardener. She had a love for animals. She loved traveling with her husband William. Alice was a retired health aid, who was extremely compassionate with her patients. She was very dedicated to her beloved grandchildren and never missed any of their events. Visiting hours will be held at the Shepherd Funeral Home 116 Main St.(Rt.58) Carver on Monday, January 18, from 2:00 to 5:00PM. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday at the United Parish (Rt.58) Carver at 10:00AM. Internment will follow at a later date at the MA National Cemetery in Bourne. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Alice's Name to Cranberry Hospice 36 Cordage Park Circle, Suite 326, Plymouth, MA 02360 or a local animal rescue of your choice.
