Hedwig Agnes “Aggie” (Kertanis) Gallagher, age 94, of Duxbury, entered into eternal life, on Thursday, December 17, 2015, at the Bay Path at Duxbury Nursing Home. She was born on January 20, 1921, in Hudson, MA, the daughter of the late Jaroslaw and Anna (Utyra) Kertanis. She was the beloved wife of the late George (Gee Gee) Gallagher; loving mother of Margaret (Midge) Tomasello and her husband Richard (Richie) of Kingston, Karen Brack and her husband Frank of Plymouth, Patricia (Patsy) Gorman and husband James (Jim) of Pembroke and is also survived by her beloved grandchildren, Todd, Ricky, Kim, Michael, Jimmy and Erin and seven great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by four brothers, Walter, Joseph, Chester, Frank and her sister, Theresa. Aggie supported several Catholic charities. One of her joys each day was choosing a baseball cap to wear from her huge selection and her favorite quarterback was Tom Brady. Visiting hours at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 216 Main Street, (Route 106), Kingston, on SUNDAY, DECEMBER 27, 2015, from 4:00-8:00 PM. Funeral services at the Shepherd Funeral Home, Kingston, on MONDAY, DECEMBER 28, 2015, at 9:00 AM, followed by her funeral Mass at the Holy Family Church, 601 Tremont Street, Duxbury, at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow at the Mayflower Cemetery, 774 Tremont Street, Duxbury. Memorial contributions in Aggie’s memory may be made to either the Bay Path at Duxbury Nursing Home, 308 Kingstown Way, Duxbury, MA 02332 or to the Holy Family Church, 601 Tremont Street, Duxbury, MA 02332.
