Perseverance to completion seemed his passion in work and life. What a fine and respectful gentleman, so kind and helpful to so many. Respected locally, he seemed like Kingston’s go-to person for all kinds of help and assistance. A great listener, he was so totally generous with all his knowledge and skills. He became a warm friend and counselor to so many who had accidents and needed towing. He loved talking about his auto collectables and was so proud that his family’s Kingston Service Station became a formal part of the Ford Museum in Detroit. Condolences to all the family.

Growing up in Kingston, I remember when Zark had his garage/station where Cumberland farms was on Main St. They were friends with my Dad Gabriel Costa. We used to cut through there all the time as we lived right behind there on Crescent St. Marksie as we called him was a great fun loving guy. Always smiling. A wonderful man has gone to heaven...To the family, you have a wonderful guardian angel watching over you. I know it doesn't make the pain of your loss any easier, but cherish your memories. Heartfelt condolences sent from myself and my brother John Costa

Marksie, we all loved you. You rescued many of us several times. There are few words to express to how shocked we felt hearing of your passing. Men such as you are hard to find. Always giving, never asking for anything in return. Friend, may you rest in the home of our creator. Your family should be proud of how you lived your life for so many others. We will miss you. Sincerely, the Brock family.

Where to begin
Marksie was a one of a kind man. He would give you the shirt right off his own back if you needed it. Marksie would help you anytime of the day or night when others would not. If you needed a tow who always came to mind first Marksie. If you needed work done to your car again who came to mind first was Marksie. If your car wasn’t fixable, you did not have much money, who would help you get another car Marksie. Marksie would go to auction, pick out a good dependable car, bid on the car, come back with it, work out a deal with you, finance you through what I call the Bank of Marksie, and as long as you could pay a little money when you could Marksie would be cool with it. Marksie also would stand by any car he sold you for 90 days or even more sometimes. That was just Marksie! He was a man who cared about everyone as long as you cared about others too! Now if you were a person who was out for yourself, didn’t give a damn who you hurt, and was only out to make money off the less unfortunate Marksie would take them on, fight for what was right, and never back down until he did everything in his power to see that everything was made right. This is what Marksie was “A King among Men”!
No words can express how each one of us feel at the loss of a great, wonderful, kind, caring man that Marksie was…
There will never be another person like Marksie…
We will never forget you Marksie…
We Love You with All Are Hearts…
Until we see you again on the other side…
