Please share a memory of Philip to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Philip Marshall Russo, 65, of Halifax died on Wednesday, December 9, 2015, after a long illness. Born on December 12, 1949, Phil was the son of the late Ronald and Dorothy Russo, and was raised in Stoneham, MA. A longtime resident of Halifax, Phil enjoyed spending time with his beloved granddaughter, Brenna; working in his many gardens; and playing with his dog Bella. A lifelong music lover who was a latecomer to technology, he spent many happy hours in his later years searching iTunes for his favorite songs, both old and new. Phil also loved listening to broadcasts of the Bruins on the radio and giving his two cents about the teams activities, and watching western and procedural dramas on television. Phil is survived by Leslie Russo, his wife of 45 years, and his daughter Lindsay Russo, her fiancé Brian Bragg, and their daughter Brenna of Bridgewater. He was predeceased by his parents-in-law David and Mary Pitt and his brother-in-law David Pitt, Jr. His extended family includes sisters-in-law Christine Pitt of Georgetown, MA and Ellen Barry and her husband John of Eddington, ME; as well as nephews Stephen Pitt and Alex Barry and niece Heather (Barry) Baines. Memorial hours will be held on Monday, December 14th from 4-6:00 PM, at the Shepherd Funeral Home in Kingston, with a prayer service set to begin at 6:00 PM. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Winslow Farm Animal Sanctuary in Norton, MA www.winslowfarm.com/helping.
