William (Bill) Bagdan Lynch, 84, passed away peacefully Friday evening, with his family by his side at the South Shore Hospital after a long Illness. Bill was born in Dennis, MA and brought up in Rockland. He graduated from Rockland High School in 1948 and went on to complete a degree at Bentley College. Bill was a proud member of the United States Army, and fought in Korea. He married his High School sweetheart, Elizabeth (Betty) Belcher in 1952, by whom he is survived. Bill is also survived by Kathleen Lynch (Amsterdam, Netherlands), Maryellen and Ken Lee (Duxbury), Christine and Ignacio Noguer (Pembroke), and his seven grandchildren; James William Lynch, Torrey Lubkin, Maya and Corinne Lee, and Sofia, Gabe and Danny Noguer. Bill was also father to Elizabeth Lynch, deceased in 2000. He was predeceased by his brothers Edward and Phillip Lynch. Bill loved to travel and had a long career in international banking at Bank of Boston, working in 35 countries, and lived with his family in Argentina, Brazil and Puerto Rico. Bill served the Town of Pembroke as an Assessor. Bill was an avid golfer, and for many years was a member of Plymouth Country Club. Visiting hours will be held at Shepherd Funeral Home in Pembroke, Tuesday December 8, from 4:00 to 7:00PM. Funeral Mass will be at St. Thecla’s Church on Wednesday, December 9, at 10:00AM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a Veteran’s charity of your choice.
