Jon D. Peacock, age 76, of Seekonk, formerly of Randolph, died on Sunday, September 27, 2015, at the South Shore Hospital in South Weymouth. He was born in Pembroke, the son of the late Howard L. & Evelyn (Wiltshire) Peacock. For many years, Jon worked at Charleston Chew Candy formerly in Everett, now in Cambridge. He was a devoted and loyal fan of the Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots. Jon liked to travel, including trips to Foxwoods in Connecticut. He also adored his grandchildren very much. For 37 years, Jon was the beloved husband of Lorraine C. (O'Connell) Peacock; devoted father of Thomas Peacock & his wife Kathy of Seekonk, Lori Charrette & her husband Paul of Braintree, Lisa Dobay & her husband Shawn of Seekonk, Deanna Peacock of Braintree, John Peacock of Seekonk and Marie Cammon & her husband Jerome of Randolph; loving Papa of his grandchildren, Katie, Alyssa, Thomas III, Nicholas, Samantha, Anthony, Layla, Miley, Charley and his great-grandchildren, Damien and Logan; dear brother of Dwight, Howard, Peter, Evelyn, Darlene, Roger, Herbert, Grace and the late Sandra, Henry, Thomas, Ronald and Patricia. Visiting hours at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 216 Main Street, (Route 106), Kingston, on Thursday, October 1, 2015, from 4:00-8:00 PM, with a prayer service starting at 8:00 PM. Interment services will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Jon's memory may be made to the American Lung Association, 393 Maple Street, Springfield, MA 01105, www.lungne.org
