Obituary of JoAnn Gouzoules

JoAnn (Bishara) Gouzoules,73, of Duxbury, died September 11, 2015. JoAnn was a highly respected teacher for five years in the City of Boston and for over twenty years at Duxbury High School. She was a pastel landscape artist extraordinaire, and a member of the Tarklin Painters of Duxbury. Her works were chosen for many juried art shows. She was a member of the KnitChix group of the North River Art Society of Marshfield where she created many elegant and special knitted pieces and where she shared her expertise with the other members. JoAnn was an avid reader and her smile and intelligence set the tone and direction of her book club meetings. JoAnn and her husband Jack, enjoyed foreign travel and recently experienced a fantastic family trip to Provence, France, which included her children and grandchildren. JoAnn is survived by her beloved husband John C. Gouzoules of Duxbury, her loving children, Nicole Sheehan and her husband Liam or Norfolk, MA, and John E. Gouzoules and his wife Leigh Kenney of Belmont, MA. She was affectionately known as JoNana to her grandchildren Eliza, Chloe, and Jack. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Friday September 25, 2015 at Holy Family Church, Duxbury MA at 10:00am.
