Obituary of Florence J. Snape

Florence J. (Langmead) Snape, 88, of Hingham, died August 25, 2015. She was the wife of the late Alfred L. Snape Sr. Florence was born and raised in Pouch Cove, Newfoundland, Canada and came to the U.S. in 1948. She was the daughter of the late Mr. & Mrs. William G. Langmead. She is survived by her daughter, Diane J. Haigh of Hanover, MA, her son, Alfred L. Snape, Jr. of Coventry, RI, five grandchildren; Sarah, Catalina, Cory, Christopher and Alexander, her brother-in-law John Pignato of Brookline, MA, her two nephews William Pignato and Robert Pignato and other extended family in the United States and Canada. She was also the sister of the late Frances Pignato, Eva, Mildred, William and Uriah. Visiting hours will be held at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 7 Mattakeesett St., Rt. 14, Pembroke Center, on Monday, August 31 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 noon, followed by a Funeral Service at 12:00 noon. Interment in the MA National Cemetery, Bourne, at 2:15 PM. Memorial donations may be made to Queen Anne Nursing Home Activities Director, 50 Recreation Park Dr., Hingham, MA 02043.
