Roland L. Otto, 76, of Duxbury, passed away at home suddenly on Friday, August 14, 2015.
Roland was born in New York, New York, on June 21, 1939. He graduated from the University of Michigan in 1961. He worked for many years in publishing, finishing his career as Vice-President of Sales at R.S. Means Co., Inc. in Kingston, MA. In retirement, he owned and managed Country Pine Furniture in Norwell, MA.
Roland was a member of the Board of Directors of the Duxbury Rural and Historical Society, serving as Vice-President. He also served as board member and Vice-President of the Duxbury Art Association. He was an avid supporter of the Plymouth Philharmonic Orchestra, serving many years as House Manager.
He is survived by his loving partner, Constance Gallison and her sons, Thayer and Colin Gallison; sister, Margaret Pescatello of Longboat Key, Florida; numerous nieces and nephews, and many devoted friends.
Funeral services will be private.
