Obituary of Virginia M. Golden

Virginia “Ginny” M. Golden 71, longtime resident of Pembroke formerly of Quincy. Passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at Beth Israel Deaconess in Boston on August 9, 2015. Born in Boston, to Alice and Robert LeBlanc. Beloved wife of Gerard “Gerry” Golden of Pembroke. Devoted mother of Paul and Lisa of Halifax, Bob and Kristin of Pembroke, Brian of Pembroke and Mark and Denise of Phoenix, Arizona. Loving Mimi of Josh, Hailey, Zach, Gia and Ryan. Sister to Cathy Hughes and husband Ron of Texas, Marie Martucci and husband Ray of Hanover. Aunt too many nieces and nephews. Ginny was a graduate of North Quincy High School, a longtime employee of the Town of Duxbury. Ginny had many passions in life; however spending time with her family especially her grandchildren brought her the most joy. She also enjoyed traveling with her friends and relatives. In lieu of flowers donations in Ginny’s memory may be made to the Pembroke Food Pantry. Visiting Hours will be held Sunday, August 16 at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 7 Mattakeesett St. Pembroke from 4:00 to 8:00PM. A Funeral Mass will be held, Monday, August 17, at St. Theclas Church in Pembroke at 9:00AM. Internment will follow at Center Cemetery in Pembroke.
