Lorraine E. Giffin, 91 of Kingston, passed away on Friday July 17, 2015 at her home in Kingston. Lorraine was born on January 24, 1924 in Boston to James and Elizabeth (LaPlant) Tremblay. She married Norman V. Giffin Sr. in 1948 in Jamaica Plain, who preceded her in death on April 2, 1991. Before moving to Kingston in 2000, Lorraine lived in Natick. Prior to her retirement in 1989, Lorraine worked as a cafeteria manager for the Weston public schools. She enjoyed gardening and was an avid reader. She loved to knit, often donating baby caps and sweaters to local hospitals for premature babies. Lorraine was preceded in death by her parents, James and Elizabeth Tremblay, and siblings: Betty Clarke (Jess), James Andrews (Eileen), and Ralph Tremblay (Marjorie). Lorraine is survived by her children: Norman V. Giffin Jr. (Linda) of Nashua N.H., Sandi E. Gaudet (Ron – deceased) of Northborough, Gregg D. Giffin (Deirdre) of Northborough, and Wendy L. Ward (Robert) of Kingston. She is also survived by four grandchildren: Christopher Giffin (Colleen) of Stoughton, Corey Giffin (Liz) of Millbury, Caroline Ward of Cambridge, and Emily Ward of Kingston. A funeral service will take place on Wednesday July 29th at 9:30 a.m. at the Bryantville United Methodist Church, 546 Mattakeesett St. Pembroke. Private burial will follow at Dell Park Cemetery in Natick.
