Lawrence Anzalone, age 53, surrounded by his loving family, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Queens, NY in 1961, he was the son of the late Lawrence and Angela Anzalone. Beloved husband of twenty-nine years to his devoted wife, Joan Anzalone, of Marshfield. Cherished father of Lauren Molina and her husband Manny of Halifax and Kenny Anzalone of Marshfield. Loving "Pops" to grandson Jayden Molina. Brother of Mark Anzalone of Florida. Larry also leaves behind his two dogs, Misty and Sophie, as well as many loving friends and family members. Larry graduated from Plainedge High School in Massepequa, NY in 1979. An incredibley hard working man, he was employed by Entergy for the past 27 years where he worked as a Health Physics Instructor and met many of his lifelong friends. In addition to teaching, Larry loved to learn and was always full of knowledge. His other passions included traveling on many vacations, working on his firebird in his garage, and taking long walks by the river with his wife and dogs. Larry will be remembered for his wisdom, his love for his family, his contagious laughter, and most of all - for his strength. Through life's toughest battles, Larry has shown by example the true meaning of exceptional strength. His greatest joy was that of being a husband, father, and grandfather, to his adoring family, and they will all miss him deeply. Visiting hours will be held on Monday, July 13th, from 5pm-9pm at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 7 Mattakeesett St, (rt. 14) Pembroke. The funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, July 14th at 11am at Our Lady of the Assumption Church, 40 Canal St, Marshfield. A special thank you to the nursing staff of BWH on 6A for their exceptional care.
