Brian, Michael and Makayla, Tracie loved you beyond words. She was so proud of the kids and was constantly praising Brian for what he had to do for her. To him, it wasn't that. It was love, a commitment, their life. I was able to be with her on various occasions, socially, outside the house as well as a few times at home. She was always worried about everyone else because of her condition. Tracie...everyone in your life was there because of YOU, the cancer being secondary. I know for me, i should have done more. Last week, i pestered her about letting me come over. I had no idea she was so close to ending her journey. I hope that it was more of a giggle at the pics I sent; i was just trying to tell her we all are not beautiful all the time. Unless you were Tracie, a beautiful soul that shined through all the time.
Brian, the few times that i had to share a room with her, she was worried about you. I will say that I hope they leave the light ON for her cuz if it isn't, she will sure as shit turn it on, even if right on your face. I still laugh about it!
Kids, i only remember meeting you once or twice but let me tell you, there is no mother more proud that yours. We always asked about the kids when the group got together. Instant smile, taking no credit for how you both turned out. It was all you.
Please read this with warmth in your hearts. I lost my sister suddenly 5 years ago. We weren't real close but the hurts surely never leaves you. Take that warmth, wrap yourself in it and one day, we'll ask you to lunch to continue your mom's presence.
God bless and I'm so sorry for your loss. Sue
