Obituary of Mary A. Mullee

Mary Anne Mullee (Burke), 92 years old , passed away peacefully at her home. She was the beloved wife of the late Michael John Mullee, mother of Maggie Ricardo and husband Joe ( Charlotte, NC), James Mullee (deceased), Yvonne DeBenedictis and husband Phil (Weymouth), Carmel Mullee (Dorchester), Patricia and wife Julie (Duxbury), Rich Mullee (Cheyenne, WY), John Mullee (deceased) and the sister of Peggy O'Connell (Sydney, Australia). Mary loved her 10 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren, all whom adored her. Mary (Monia) was born in Jamestown Ireland, and worked as a nurse in England during WW II where she met Mike at a local dance hall. . They soon married and emigrated to the US in 1957. They owned and operated Mike and Mary's Variety store in Dorchester for 20 years. Monia was pure of heart and full of faith. She loved a hot cup of tea, a good book, a game of cards, the Red Sox, and most of all her family. She will be greatly missed, but never forgotten. Visiting hours will be held Friday, May 29, at the Shepherd Funeral Home 216 Main St (Rt.106) in Kingston, from 4:00 to 8:00PM. Friends and family are welcome to the Funeral Home on Saturday May 30, at 9am with a Funeral Mass to follow at 10am, at Holy Family Church in Duxbury. Internment will follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery in West Roxbury.
