Obituary of Roger A. Santos

Roger A. Santos, Sr., age 72, of Carver, died on Sunday, May 24, 2015 at the Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital in Plymouth. He was born on November 3, 1942, in Plympton, the son of the late Lawrence & Rose (Costa) Santos. For many years, Roger was the owner-operator of L.J. Trucking & Paving of Carver. He was an accomplished body builder and was a devoted car racer, often racing his MR. NOVA. Roger was the devoted father of Rachel Andrews of Plymouth, Roger A. Santos, Jr. of Carver, Allen Santos of Virginia, Ross Santos of Carver and Jason Battles-Santos of Dennis. He is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Roger was the brother of Robert Santos of Plympton, August Santos of Middleborough, Rosalie Porche of New Bedford, Joanne Perry of Wareham, Irmie Fernandes of Onset and the late Gertrude Silva and Bertha Santos. Visiting hours at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 116 Main Street, (Route 58), Carver, on Thursday, May 28, 2015, from 4:00-8:00 PM. Funeral services and interment services will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Roger's name may be made to the charity of your choice.
