Obituary of Jerry D. Crouch

Jerry D. Crouch, 76, of Carver, passed away on March 24, 2015. Beloved husband of Paula C. Crouch, and predeceased by his first wife Gloria L. Crouch in 1984. Loving father of Mark Crouch of Middleboro, Glen Crouch of Middleboro, Greg Crouch of NH, Gary Crouch of Easton, and the late Kevin Crouch. Son of the late Obie and Ruth Crouch. Brother of Jim Crouch of IN, John Crouch of IN, and the late Roy Crouch and Darrell Crouch. Cherished grandfather of 11, and great grandfather of 6. Jerry is a graduate of Washington High School and went on to graduate from Northeast Institute for A/C and Refrigeration. He served in the US Navy on the USS McGowan, as a 2nd class Petty Officer. He was honorably discharged in 1960. Jerry worked at Goddard Memorial Hospital in Stoughton, starting in 1968 as a certified housekeeper, before becoming director of facilities from 1971 - 1992. In 1992 he became the maintenance supervisor at Braemoor Rehab and Nursing Ctr in Brockton before retiring in 2000. Jerry's memberships included: Nat'l Executive Housekeeping Assoc, past President of S. Shore Security Assoc, Nat'l Fire Protection Assoc, American Society of Heating, Refrigeration, and A/C, American Hospital Assoc for Engineers, MA Hospital Assoc, past registered Emergency of Medical Technician, past instructor of CPR for American Red Cross, N.E. Engineer Soc, past President of Inter Hospital Dissaster Committee, licensed State Construction Supervisor, and South Carver Lions Club. He is also a member of the United Parish in Carver. Visiting hours will be held on Monday, March 30th from 4-8:00 PM at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 116 Main St, (Rt. 58) Carver. A funeral service will be held at the United Parish in Carver on Tuesday, March 31st at 10:00 AM. Interment will be at the Central cemetery in Carver.
