Pearl O. Green, age 73, of Plymouth, formerly of Carver, passed away on Sunday, March 22, 2015, after a lingering illness at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center West Campus in Boston, where she was surrounded by her family. She was born on April 6, 1941, to Nancy Hickson formerly Madan (Piazza) and Robert Madan, both deceased. She had one sister, Barbara Jones (Madan) formerly Mann, also deceased. Pearl graduated from Randolph High School with honors and studied business. She married and divorced Paul Green of Randolph, where they raised their only child, Nancy Kingston (Green). Pearl and her significant other, Donald Costa, resided in Plympton together until his passing. While in Plympton, they were activity involved in the local farmers market for many years, most notably Carver’s Farmers Market. She was an avid reader that especially loved fiction novels. In addition, Pearl loved to spend her time outdoors where she could watch her bird feeders. Pearl also enjoyed collectables and in particular she enjoyed collecting Disney themed ones. Pearl spent the majority of her life working in retail where she was most recently employed by Ocean State Job Lot. She was able to forge many long lasting friendships throughout her retail career. Those that were fortunate enough to meet Pearl absolutely loved her. During her last couple of years while residing at Golden Living Center of Plymouth, she was able to once again make an indelible impact on those around her. Throughout her life, Pearl always left those around her with a lasting impression. Pearl is survived by her only daughter, Nancy Kingston (Green) of Carver. She leaves behind three grandchildren, Jason Kingston and his wife Genevieve of Abington, Kristina Kingston of Plymouth and Brandon Kingston of Carver. Lastly, she also leaves behind two great-grandchildren, Brayden Mastrorilli, 5 years old, and Tyler Mastrorilli, 2 years old, both of Plymouth. Visiting hours at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 116 Main Street, (Route 58), Carver, on Thursday, March 26, 2015, from 4:00-8:00 PM. Funeral services at the Shepherd Funeral Home, Carver, on Friday, March 27, 2015, at 9:30 AM, followed by her funeral Mass at Saint Kateri Tekakwitha Church, 126 South Meadow Road, South Plymouth, at 10:30 AM. Interment services will follow at the Central Cemetery, Route 58, Carver. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Pearl's memory may be made to the Golden Living Center, Attention: Resident Activity Fund, 19 Obery Street, Plymouth, MA 02360.
