Irving Clinton Minott, Jr. “Sonny”, 84, born in Halifax, lived in Plympton, and most recently from Burlington, Maine, passed away on March 21, 2015. He is survived by his loving wife, Virginia (Bourne) Minott of Maine, his adoring daughter, Irene Minott of Maine; sons Irving C. Minott III and wife Isabell from Colorado, Bruce Minott and wife Carol from Halifax, Daughter, Debra Wales and husband Mike from Maine. Brother to Thalia Tribble of Plymouth, Sharon Wills of Pembroke, and Roland E. Minott of Maine. Grandfather to Melissa Wales Ryan and husband Ed, Robert Wales and wife Sarah, Elena Wales Conley and husband Timothy, Annie Wales, Sara Minott, Irving C. Minott IV & fiancé Kelly Ward, Keith Minott and wife Carrie, and Kasey Minott and fiancé William Sims. Great Grandfather to, Mari Colbert, Joshua Wales, Ethan Wales, and Edward Ryan, Jr, as well as many nieces and nephews. Sonny is predeceased by his father, Irving C Minott Sr., and Mother, Amy (Ellis) Minott, as well as his sister Carol Ann Minott. Sonny attended and played football for Middleboro High School. He later played football for the “Mitchell Club” in Middleboro. He was a farmer, legendary trucker, and avid outdoorsman. Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, March 26th from 4-8:00 PM at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 216 Main St (rt. 106) Kingston. A funeral service will be held on Friday, March 27th at 10:00 AM at the Mayflower Congregational Church in Kingston. Interment will be at the Central cemetery in Halifax.
