Obituary of Phyllis Clark

Phyllis (Urmston) Clark, age 99, of Everett and Duxbury, passed away on Wednesday, March 18, 2015, surrounded by her family, at the Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital in Plymouth. Phyllis was born in Manchester, England, on March 16, 1916, the daughter of the late John & Elizabeth Urmston. Phyllis was a British war bride, marrying the late Walter J. Clark of Everett, in 1945. Phyllis was the beloved mother of Doreen M. Dowd of Duxbury, John E. Clark of Everett and Keith J. Clark of Everett. She was known as Nana to her grandchildren, Kimberly McKenna of Dedham, Kelly Delnickas of Kingston and Brian Dowd of Norwell. Her greatest joy was her nine great-grandchildren. Visiting hours at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 216 Main Street, (Route 106), Kingston, on Wednesday, March 25, 2015, from 9:00-10:30 AM, followed by her funeral Mass at the Holy Family Church, 601 Tremont Street, Duxbury, at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at the Blue Hill Cemetery, West Street, Braintree. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Cranberry Hospice, 36 Cordage Park Circle, Suite 326, Plymouth, MA 02360.
