Cynthia (Keith) Walker, a Kingston native, passed away Friday, January 30th. She was 90 years old. She was the daughter of the late Clinton Keith and Helen (Hathaway) Keith. She was married for fifty years to the late Benjamin Walker. She is survived by a son, Clinton Walker and his wife Carolyn of Sandwich, a daughter, Nancy Walker of Kingston, and a daughter-in-law, Cathleen Walker of Kingston. She was predeceased by her son, Daniel Walker, of Kingston. She leaves behind her grandchildren; Nathaniel Walker, Benjamin Walker, Jacob Walker, David Shea, Tyler Shea, Rachel Walker, and Emily Walker, two great-grandsons and several nieces and nephews. Cynthia was a secretary in the woolen industry, as well as a newspaper correspondent. She was also the Town Historian for Kingston ten years ago. She was known as an award winning cook, and enjoyed knitting and rug braiding. She volunteered for local civic events. A memorial service is scheduled for Wednesday, February 4th at 2 p.m at Shepherd Funeral Home, 216 Main St (rt. 106) in Kingston. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Wildlands Trust, The Friends of the Kingston Council of Aging, or The Jones River Village Historical Society.
