Obituary of Sidney K. Horton

Sidney Knowles Horton, Jr., 77, of Bryantville, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 22, 2015 at home surrounded by family. Sid was born in Boston, Massachusetts on March 12, 1937, and grew up on Cape Cod. He graduated from Yarmouth High School in 1955 and attended both Boston University and Rhode Island School of Design before beginning a long career in banking at State Street Bank & Trust.
Sidney's greatest passion and joy came from celebrating life with family and friends. He also loved playing golf, sailing, painting, reading and traveling. Sid is survived by his wife of 29 years, Holly Harris Horton, daughter Jennifer Horton Snyder, son Sidney K. Horton III, son Samuel K. Horton, six incredible grandchildren, beloved nieces, nephews and extended family. A memorial service will be held on Monday, January 26, at 11:00 AM at Bryantville United Methodist Church, 546 Mattakeesett St. Pembroke, MA.
