Obituary of Mary Anne Perkins

Mary Anne Perkins, 73, of Carver, passed away peacefully at home, while surrounded by her husband, and children, on January 6, 2015. Mary Anne attended St. Rita's grammar school, and St. Mary's High School in Lawrence, and went on to graduate from North Shore Children's and Babies Hospital Nursing School in Salem, MA, and was employed by Holy Family Hospital in Methuen. She was a member of the Carver Planning Board from 1978-1983 and a former Eucharistic minister at Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Carver. She was also a Sun Dancer in the Mexicayotl tradition, and a minister in the church of the In Kaltonal. Mary Anne retired from Post, O'Connor and Kadrmas Eye Center after 20 years of employment as a surgical coordinator. She enjoyed spending time with her family, and family gatherings were most important. Mary Anne also enjoyed family vacations in New Hampshire, Florida, Mexico, and Ireland. Mary Anne is survived by her beloved husband Henry Perkins. Daughter of the late Walter J. And Mary G. (Sullivan) Greene. Loving mother of Kathleen Berriault of Wareham, Beth Romano of Plymouth, Christina Adkins of West Wareham, and Sean Silvia-Perkins of E. Bridgewater. Sister in law to James Perkins. Cherished grandmother to Erin Doonan, Patrick Doonan, Taylor Raymond, Joshua Raymond, Sarah Raymond, Ryan Berriault, Kaitlyn Berriault, Kelsey Berriault, Timothy Berriault, and Tara Berriault, and great grandmother of Mackenzie Doonan. Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, January 11th from 4-8:00 PM at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 116 Main St (Rt. 58) Carver. A funeral mass will be held on Monday, January 12th at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Carver. Internment will take place on Tuesday, January 13th at St. Mary's Immaculate Conception in Lawrence. Donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Assoc. at www.alz.org.
