Obituary of Claire L. Hill

Claire L. (Jacobson) Hill, age 69, of Halifax, died on Friday, December 26, 2014, at her home. Born in Weymouth, she was the daughter of the late Eric J. & Anne (McCoole) Jacobson. For many years, she was a hairdresser in the South Shore area and befriended many of her clients. She loved her family and spending time with her grandchildren. Claire was the beloved wife of Edmund J. Hill; devoted mother of Debra Sherman of Hanover & her late husband Jeffrey Sherman, David Tourtillott & his wife Diana of Scituate and Denise Smith of Kingston; dear step-mother of Michael Hill of Maine; loving grandmother of Justin, Jessica, Cara, Danielle, Kristin, Cody, Austin and Taylor; dear sister of Robert Jacobson & his wife Sue of Braintree, Don Jacobson & his wife Sue of Weymouth, Andrea Farra of Plymouth and the late Linda Griggs; dear sister-in-law of Sally Ferrell of Plympton, Robert Hill of Halifax and Nancy Eaton of Salisbury. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Memorial visiting hours at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 216 Main Street, (Route 106), Kingston, on Tuesday, December 30, 2014, from 3:00-7:00 PM, with a prayer service starting at 7:00 PM.
